Shana Williams, Psy.D
Dr. Shana Williams is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 30 years of experience serving children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout South Florida. As Director of Psychological Services at the Children’s Center for Development and Behavior, she specializes in comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational, developmental, and behavioral evaluations, as well as evidence-based interventions designed to help individuals reach their fullest potential.
Throughout her career, Dr. Williams has worked extensively with children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, learning, developmental, and attention-related challenges. She is recognized for her expertise in psychological assessment, diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, and consultation with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Williams has presented workshops and professional trainings on topics including parenting, psychological assessment, professional ethics, anxiety, stress management, and child development. She has developed and implemented stress-management and resilience programs for a variety of organizations, including U.S. Army installations.
Dr. Williams is a court-appointed expert and a longtime advocate for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and non-verbal individuals. She completed her residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Mental Health Program and has dedicated a significant portion of her career to improving access to quality behavioral health and assessment services for underserved populations.
She previously served as an adjunct professor at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida, where she earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree. Dr. Williams has been actively involved in numerous professional and community organizations throughout her career, reflecting her commitment to excellence in clinical practice, education, advocacy, and service.
Known for her compassionate approach and practical solutions, Dr. Williams is dedicated to helping children, families, and individuals build on their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve meaningful success in school, work, and life.
